Altitude Training Associates is conducting BMP training at CDOT's outdoor facility. Training sessions are day long experiences in the field, installing various BMPs. The outdoor facility includes slopes with irrigation systems to simulate precipitation events. Review our informational brochure for additional information.
Slope conditions can be modified with or without erosion and sediment control measures. Irrigation system can then impact the slope to simulate a storm event.
Classes are now open for registration. Altitude Training, in conjunction with CDOT, is offering four training sessions this year; July 21st, August 19th, September 16th and September 23rd. These classes are open to all, with the exception of CDOT Employees and contractors actively working on CDOT projects. These classes are being offered complimentary by CDOT. Class size is limited to 16 participants, so these classes will fill up quickly.
Training Participants:
- It is required that you have completed the CDOT ECS training course, or equivalent
- This course is HANDS-ON, you will be actively installing BMPs in the field
- Safety equipment is required. You are responsible for supplying your own: Hard hat, protective eye wear, work gloves and appropriate footwear
- You will be required to sign Release of Liability forms
- You may not be a CDOT employee or actively working on a CDOT project at the time of the training
- You must be employed and be attending the training with the consent and permission of your employer
- Once you have a confirmed registration, and you are not able to attend your assigned training session you need to contact Altitude Training as soon as possible. If you do not provide at least 3 days notice of cancellation you will not be allowed to attend any session for the next 1 year.
